Gilbert Stops at 50000 Shots, Gil 20 Names, and another Contest

Gilbert Arenas updated his blog a couple days ago and announced a new contest, called the Adidas Gil 20’s, 100,000 shots in 73 days, and a chocolate rain plug!

Gilbert talking about his contest:

I’m giving three lucky fans the chance to win a Spalding court. They get the rim, the backboard, Spalding balls, and all the rest of the accessories. All you have to do is submit an essay on his site why you are the one that needs or deserves the court. I’ll have the contest running now until October 1st.

A Gil 20 update:

They’re called the Gil 20’s. That means that there are 20 different versions coming out in 20 cities. That means what whatever version you buy in D.C., you can’t buy in L.A. Or whatever comes out in L.A., you can’t get in Miami.

Some names for some of them that are coming out include ‘Black President’, ‘Agent Zero’, ‘Hibachi’, ‘Coke Zero’, and ‘Don’t Watch Me, Watch TV’.

But there is something bigger in the works:

This isn’t the big thing that I was talking about, that’s happening in a couple more weeks. That’s going to be huge.

He also gives an update on his 100,000 shots in 73 days quest:

I stopped my shots at 50,000. I’m not going for 100,000 anymore. I did 50,000 in 26 days. What happened was I sat out a couple days and that turned into a whole week because my arm was sore.

Somebody made a mix of my highlights to Chocolate Rain. You have to see it. I love that song. I want Tay to make me a theme song.
